EVENT DETAILS
Hosted by Cayman’s premier dive operator Ambassador Divers, the four day depth competition will take place off Seven Mile Beach on the western end of the island. The exact location will be determined by weather conditions and the wind direction.
The water temperature is expected to be around 28-29°C (82-84°F), with little current and visibility of 20-40m, offering amazing conditions.
Athletes are free to choose the discipline in which they want to compete (CWTB, CWT, CNF, FIM) on each of the days, weather permitting.

CONSTANT WEIGHT WITH BI-FINS
CWTB
The diver descends and ascends only using bi-fins with flutter kick. The diver is not allowed to pull on any guide ropes or change the weight used.

CWTThe diver descends using a monofin and a small amount of weight. The diver is not allowed to pull on any guide ropes or change the weight used.

CONSTANT WEIGHT NO FINS
CNF
The diver uses only muscle strength to propel them downwards and back up again and can only use the line as reference and for the turn.

FREE IMMERSION
FIMIn this discipline the diver cannot use fins, however, in this case, the diver can use the guide rope for propulsion on the descent and on the ascent.
